Connections Opens Homeless Cafe
posted Wed, Dec 29, 2010
Connections Community Support Programs, Inc. is pleased to announce the opening of their Homeless Café (an around the clock drop-in center for homeless persons in Wilmington). The Café will be open around the clock starting today.
The location is the former West Church at the corner of Washington and 8th Streets. The entrance is on Wollaston Street at the rear.
There are no beds. People can come in at any time. There will be a place for them to sit, drink coffee and water, and have a meal of some kind, usually soup and bread. There are some blankets. By the middle of January they hope to have showers and washers and dryers.
